We are a Catholic community located approximately 15 miles west of the city of Rochester. Our history began in 1869 as a small rural community. We believe our faith community has a friendly, welcoming character, typical of a small town, and we live the spirit of Vatican II even as we cherish the rich traditions of Catholicism.
The people of our churches, St. Columba/St. Patrick, St. Mary of the Assumption, and St. Vincent de Paul, strive to live the sacramental life together through vibrant liturgical worship, loving service, and life-long faith formation for spiritual growth. Through wise use of our gifts, leadership, and shared resources, we are one community of Catholics worshipping our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we embrace an atmosphere of belonging and discipleship to make visible the life and work of Jesus Christ.
Strengthened by the Holy Spirit, we the members of St. Vincent de Paul Church, are called through our Baptism to grow in the knowledge of our faith; live, celebrate and share our faith and extend our God-given gifts beyond our parish community. In the spirit of our patron saint, we commit ourselves to “doing all things in charity and love.”
